No Results due to heat for Beechworth

Beechworth A3 team was 5 minutes short of another win in the Ovens & Murray Bowls Pennant Season after their match against Swanpool was abandoned due to heat.

Beechworth were ahead after 58 ends, however the match was abandoned after it hit 40 degrees with Beechworth been 2 ends short of the required 60 ends for a result. Beechworth A3 team will now focus on their Elimination Final against Wangaratta on Saturday at the Wodonga bowling club, starting at 1:00pm. Last time they clashed with each other was round 12 with Beechworth winning by 16 shots.

Beechworth B3 team was able to finish over the required 45 ends mark in their clash with Corowa Civic with a 56-41 shot win. However due to that been the only match in Division B3 to get a result, the match was classified as an abandoned match. Beechworth B3 team will now focus on their Elimination Final also against Wangaratta on Saturday at the Wodonga bowling club, starting at 1:00pm. Last time they clashed with each other was round 6 with Wangaratta winning by 20 shots.

Beechworth Midweek team will take on Wodonga in an Elimination Final this week. Last time they clashed with each other was round 9 with Wodonga winning by 7 shots.

Beechworth Bowls Club twilight social bowls has started, with it running from 7pm every Thursday night.
